Statement

My subjects are people in my life I've encountered that are quite complex. When I paint them, I get to know them in a different realm, in their solitude portrayed on the canvas... trying to find out who they really are and what their secrets are...perhaps searching for them through their eyes without the intimidation of true eye contact...
