> DESCRIPTION

The National Museum continues the series that it began in 2009 of presentations by young Norwegian artists with a summer exhibition of sculptures by Camilla Løw.

Løw references the history of art, but also draws on poetry, typography, architecture and other elements of everyday life. Abstraction, surface, line and colour are used to invoke modernist and avantgarde forms of expression. No less important in her works is the viewer’s experience of space and the body. In several of Løw’s works, moving through the sculptural groups in the exhibition can be compared to the way one negotiates the urban landscape.
